Large Antique Chinese Charger From The Guan Yao Imperial Kiln 1870-1890 (EFO)

Measures approximately 16 inches in diameter
Likely 1870 to 1890s Nan king or canton ware made for export. Material of this type was actively imported to San Francisco during the later 19th and early 20th century and it became very popular as ornamental where or as full sets of dinnerware. Unusually fine piece, note, glazed, bottom, and elegant rim With woven basket motif. Swampy, rivers with reeds and intersecting rock formation. Typical of southwest. China were often depicted in export porcelain. Tiny flaws in the glaze are from a rack set on the platter to accommodate another piece, fired in a kiln at the same time.
