China Marked Criss Cross Wooden Stand with Hammered Brass Bowl

Description

This was in my parents house when I grew up, so it's at least 50 years old.  My mother collected antiques so it may be much older.  The wooden stand looks like it is marked on the top and incised with "China" on both side pieces.  It measures 10 1/2" x 5 3/8" each  piece. they are heavy.  They weigh 1 lb. 4 oz. without bowl. The bowl is almost 12" across x 3 3/4" deep.  It looks hammered and has a textured look inside.  There is a rim around this bowl on the outside.  I do not see any markings.  There are a few pits inside/outside of bowl see pictures.  I believe this is brass but it has an unusual (to me) glow about it like it may have a coating of some sort.  My mother used it for fruit. It weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. without stand.  Total 2 lbs. 5 oz. together prior to packaging.
