Antique Chinese Blanc De Chine Porcelain Lotus Blossom Bowl.
For you to consider is an elegant late 19th century blanc de chine porcelain lotus bowl. A perfectly proportioned piece standing approximately 3.5 inches in height and measuring 8 inches in diameter, it was likely created at the Dehua kilns in China which are known for their blanc de chine. Artistically hand crafted, a variety of applied colorful lily pads and lotus flowers circumvent the perimeter of the bowls organic undulating lip in amazing detail (the thorns are quite sharp). Two tiny surface chip is found at the outer edge of the lip but is so small and so well disguised within a crevice that it is neither noticable or distracting and is extremely difficult to capture on camera. Two random chips on the lip edge of the lotus bowls exterior. Otherwise the bowl is exceptional with no cracks, crazing, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Wear is appropriate for age and a history of gentle use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing.
